MUSEUMS ONE HAS SOLD OUT! However, COMFORTABLE ON A TIGHTROPE have now released the compilation tape and is available HERE. It is WELL worth it!

GOOD GRIEF now has a pretty amazing subscription programme that is well worth signing up to for both the seasoned and novice zine reader. Check out all the different packages you can get HERE . Also, sometime this winter, the shop will be moving location about one block down to the from Afflecks Palace to the basement of the Soup Kitchen. Watch out!

COMFORTABLE ON A TIGHTROPE have just released their very first 7" ! And it's been a very eagerly anticipated event. One side FORMER BULLIES (who's last 7" came about something like 6 years ago, like before I was even born). The other side WAITERS (who've really never had a 7" before). It's a beautiful & impressive thing, and is available from their online shop and from GOOD GRIEF. Expect a NISSENENMONDAI/WAITERS split on the horizon! YES!

SALFORD ZINE LIBRARY has been away from Islington Mill for quite a while now but will be back, with shelves and tables and chairs to help you read pretty soon! Before then it goes to Essex for a little while, with workshops and more! It has already visited Durham Art Gallery, The CCA Book Fair in Glasgow, the Ffotogallery Bienalle in Penarth & the Picadilly Self Publishing fair. They have a pretttty cool new banner too! Check it out if you have a spare afternoon!

Also at Islington Mill, from now until 30th October, OBJECT LESSONS, an exhibition curated by Sophie Perry, in collaboration with the Working Class Movement Library, Salford will be open & constantly worked by a rotating group of artists in different medium & forms.

SHIELD AROUND THE K: THE STORY OF K RECORDS has another screening! 22nd October, Islington Mill, Salford, 7.30 pm. This is as part of OH AYE, a monthly night (organised by the people of MUSEUMS, SALFORD ZINE LIBRARY, IRMA VEP & NO WOMB) with a film screening each time and some pretty cool bands. This month, 'SHIELD' is accompanied by
GROPETOWN, GUMMY STUMPS, SLOWCOACHES, FATHER MURPHY & NO WOMB

Aside from everything listed above in the coming months, be excited for... HALLOWEEN, BONFIRE NIGHT, CHRISTMAS EVE, CHRISTMAS DAY, BOXING DAY, NEW YEARS EVE, NEW YEARS DAY and then... once that's over... there are some pretty good things planned for 2011
a) more OH AYE nights
b) a pretty exciting monthly lecture series entitled GENERAL INTEREST, involving some pretty nice people from Manchester collaboratively curating a total ALL-STAR line-up of speakers.
c) MUSEUMS is purchasing a LASER PRINTER, which means big plans for frequent A5, monotone, under £5, totally rad and really really good zines from really really good people from really really good places.
